james bond and 5 religions

the second day in phuket, i went to phang nga bay that is famous of its james bond island.. it is a small island located in the north of phuket and a former movie scene of james bond’s ‘the man with the golden gun’.. it took about one and half hour driving from patong beach.. along the way we dropped by a cave of budha where there was a giant budha statue lying on his side back.. then we had boat-ride to the island, there’re lots of tourists already in the island besides the souvenir stallers persuasively offering many kinds of souvenirs, most of them imitated pearls.. next to island, we dropped by a small floating moslem village (i forget the name) where we had our lunch, a simple but scrumptious meals.. i went down to the village areas where there were again souvenirs sold from the native houses.. this a very unique place because there are actually no land, the houses are built above the sea.. after lunch and sightseeing, we went back to phuket, stopping two times: in hazel nut factory and jewelry house, i guess they are part of the sponsors of the tour.. 3 indian continued to elephant-ride trip.. i ended arrving in patong resort hotel at around 5pm.. i came to realize that our group of travellers come form 5 different countries and 5 different religions: 2 from uk, christian; 3 from india, hindu; 1 from china, budha; 2 from israel, jewish; and 1 from indonesia, moslem.. isn’t that co-incidence?.. after sholat, i went to patong beach and have my swimming by the beach, so peaceful and relaxing.. i enjoyed every minute of it..

phuket fantasea

it’s one of the best shows to attend in phuket.. a complete attraction that involves elephants and other animals, cultural dances, musical stage show and slapsticks..marvelous!!.. one stop areas located on kamala beach, just 9 kms from patong, complete with restaurants and souvenir shops, fantasea is said to be best attraction in thailand and won thailand tourism award.. it has las vegas-style performance showing spectacular 4-D effects, aerial ballet, acrobatics, pyrotechnics, exciting stunts and all blended with thai cultural dances and folk tales.. it’s ways ahead of 3-D magic fountain show in sentosa island or ramayana tale in prambanan.. there’s also golden kinnaree buffet restaurant that serves thai food and the tom yan soup is fantastic.. it’s worth-visit and i’m so satisfied..

phuket is so nice

yes, it’s highly recommended to go to phuket.. patong beach is more like kuta beach in bali but it’s cleaner.. beach activities include parasailing, sunbathing, surfing, swimming, water-skiing, sun-bathing, massaging and tattoing.. there are stores and outlets along the sidewalk, souvenir stores, motor for rent, tuk-tuk for rent, eating places, entertainment centres, convinience stores, thai boxing arenas, thai massage, country-related restaurants, money changers, internet cafes, hotels, rooms for rent.. it’s a complete place to hang-out..

more plans

my boss is gonna take his leave on june 5-10, so there’s a big chance for me to also take leave.. some holiday packages in phuket look very tempting yet reasonably low in cost.. but our class is planning for outing on june 9-11, so i might strongly go with them due to the togetherness.. the outing venue can be either be clark or tagaytay.. they’re still looking for a place.. i’ll be handling the jacket procurement project and of course i can do my own design..so nice..love it.. another upcoming leave for my boss will be on july 1-10, another good times for travel plan.. so, my choice could be outing in june and thailand in july.. hopefully..

next holiday

there’s another one-day-off in june i.e. monday june 12 the independence day.. another good chance to travel again.. some places in the philippines are actually very cozy especially the beaches like boracay, el nido palawan, panglao island, mactan etc., but in june there will be raining all season plus the typhoon.. not too enjoyable for sure, so have to find other options: bangkok, phuket, hongkong or macau.. bangkok is another capital city… it must look like any other big cities in asean yet i haven’t got there.. phuket is a beach area that has just been hit by the tsunami.. i wonder what it looks like by now though the hotel rates are quite low (below $100 for 3 nites).. hongkong is a megapolitan, big international city, many thing to see and to experience despite the high cost of staying.. macau is another chinese town near to hongkong.. still have no idea what it looks like.. what heard is that it is a place for gambling and an easy access to hongkong, by one-hour-or-so ferry ride.. the good thing about macau is that the budget airplane is available down here in clark.. good for cost cutting.. still thinking

i’m back

got here yesterday afternoon.. taking the tiger airways from
singapore at 7:10am.. arriving in clark airport at 11am and then taking 300 pesos philantropic bus to megamall about 3 hours tobe arrived at 2pm.. having a quick lunch at bali blend cafe then heading home, taking shower, changing cloth and going to the office again..
the trip was smooth as the i planned.. only one thing that i didn’t expect was that kuala lumpur is not as good as singapore in the city arrangement especially the public transportation.. the taxi there based on agreement rate rather that metered and some local are taking advantages on foreigners..i stayed in dynasty hotel for one night.. it’s a 3-star hotel, has big room and excellent breakfast.. i had nasi lemak and prata there.. that’s the best part, the bad part is the location.. quite long distance from interesting places that you need taxi for it.. check-in and check-out process were fast..i went to the petronas twin tower.. nice stunning landmark of the city and the country.. too bad that i couldn’t go to the top due to closing time but i got some pictures of it.. there’s a park close to the tower where people use it for hanging out, enjoying views..there’s also big luxurious mall called klcc where lots of stores and eating places.. beside the tower is the convention center.. there should be an underwater world there called aquatic that i missed because i just found about it the day after..the next day i went to genting highland, the highest part of kl.. genting is a chinese word meaning the city above the cloud.. literally speaking it’s true that genting highland is really cover by clouds, clearly can be seen from way to get there.. it’s a very high place that to get there we have to use the cable car, very long and scary transport..it’s scarier when we go down and have the front seat.. genting highland is famous for its casino..it’s full of people especially the chinese, real crowded.. we can’t bring the camera or handycam inside.. other attraction is the theme park, indoor and outdooor.. indoor park is full of lots of games like: snow house, reply believe it or not, haunted house, space adventure, rock climbing, bowling, times square, carousel, gondola, bumping cars, restaurants, stores, souveniers and many more.. while in the outdoor park, they have roller coster, monorail, dino park, water boat, skyliner, and more.. the good thing about this place is the weather, very chilled and windy.. to have a better picture of this place, you just combine dufan, hailai, supermal karawaci, grand hyatt, cable car and located in puncak..
